About the event

We’re creating a mass movement that demands our leaders help deliver a fair and effective deal at Copenhagen. The Copenhagen climate conference in December 2009 is where the successor to the Kyoto protocol – which expires in 2012 – is set to be agreed.

Copenhagen 2009 will be the most important gathering of world leaders since 1997.  It will set the international framework to combat climate change into the next decade and beyond.

We must take this opportunity to ensure a fair and effective deal for the world's poorest.  It’s the last chance the world has to keep global temperature rises below 2°C.

We are a group of development agencies from across the world who are joining forces to create a truly global voice for change.

We can’t do this alone.  We need your help, to take this message to your governments. Click your country on the map and you will be able to take the Copenhagen pledge.

The pledge is a chance for you to show your commitment to tackling climate change, taking action in your own life aswell as putting pressure on your government to take action too!

If your country doesn’t have a link please take the international pledge instead.  The Copenhagen talks won’t work for the world’s poorest people without an international call to action.

Play your part - take action today, then pass the link on.
